Sheldon completed his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Western University and developed a style and approach as a humanistic, person-centred therapist. Sheldon completed his clinical internship at Western University as a Personal Counsellor and Learning Skills Counsellor, employing a variety of models and techniques to support clients.
Sheldon has worked from a number of models including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Sheldon has worked with clients individually and in group settings, with a firm understanding and belief in the therapeutic process.
Sheldon believes in the strengths and resources of every client and works with every client in a partnership for clients to meet their potential. Often working with a model focused on client goals, values, acceptance and understanding of emotions, Sheldon works with clients to develop new insights and perspectives.
